Multi-tasking Mama

This gal looks pretty great for dealing with all she has to do, don't you think?
My daughter Leah always looks gorgeous and she is an amazing multi-tasking mom!

This is one of the eye-catching stamps from
Saturated Canary
who is the sponsor for the challenge this week at Tuesday Throwdown.
The challenge is, "Birthday Party"

My card is an inspiration piece for the challenge.

I used Prismacolor markers, and some Stickles for her hair
I added Crystal Effects on her eyes to make them look real.

The paper is really old CTMH B&T, and  the gems are from Michaels.
I chalked the background and the sentiment.

I also made little Stickle dots on the sentiment.

So make a birthday card and enter the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge...you may win!

Relax and Take It Easy

My husband had back surgery and is supposed to take it easy...but he's not used to doing nothing, so he's overdoing it.  He's a hard worker!

I should send him this card!

Speaking of cards. don't you love the watermark? Wendy made it especially for me, using this, my favorite stamp set. Visit Digital Delights to order your own watermark!

I made this card for Digital Delights. Visit the blog to see the other amazing samples the DT has made to inspire you! I love vintage, and Wendy has designed a set of gorgeous vintage flowers! I inserted the words from DD's Feel Better Sentiment Set, which is one of the cool things you can do with digital stamps...combine images!

The background paper is from DD's Rich Damask Digital Paper Pack. The neat thing about digi paper is that you can print it out in the size you need...no waste, and no storing a pack of paper somewhere other than your computer! After I printed it out, I cut it with a die at our Card Club here in our community...sorry I don't know what company makes the die.

I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils. Using Indigo Blue and Crimson Red, I created a shadow behind the letters.

The glitter effect was done with Stickles.

The black "gems" were made with Enamel Accents by Ranger, in black.

Ribbon from my stash.

The flourish was cut with a die...sorry, I don't know what company made that either...I guess I should take notes at Card Club when I use a die.

Be sure to visit Delightful Challenges, where you can enter DD's newest challenge.

I am entering this card in the following challenges...wish me luck!

Sweet Friend

Digital Delights has many stamps besides cute creatures, and I love creating with them.

This cherry is from the Ice Cream Parlor Accessories Set. I enlarged the image and printed it 3 times. Using Barn Door Distress Ink  and a sponge, I rubbed the ink all over the images, leaving one side lighter. Then I cut them out. I used my favorite Walnut Stain Distress Ink to ink the edges of each cherry, and the leaf I simply drew on green CS and cut out. I colored the stems with a brown marker.

The background paper is also by Digital Delights. It's from the Noteable Music Digital Paper Pack . This digital paper has an ombre effect, which I over stamped with a background word definition stamp by Hero Arts. I stitched the background to a piece of Coordinations CS, then to a piece to patterned paper by Graphic 45, French Country. The sentiment is from Digital Delight's
Ice Cream Sentiments Set. I cut the sentiment into a flag, and inked the edges. I used the Hardware stamp set by Crafty Secrets to stamp the iron work corners. The nail heads are by CTMH. I used Stickles to dress up the cherries, mount it on a Kraft 6x6 card, and I am done!

Please visit the Digital Delights Blog to see all the beautiful Design Team cards.

Enjoy the summer! Now go have a sundae with a cherry on top! You deserve it.

Masking Magic Class

Jeanne, Linda, Susan, Brenda, Jenn and Janis
I have to thank these ladies for a fun afternoon of creative stamping. Without the six of them the class would never have been so much fun!

We spent three hours making 6 cards using various masking techniques. The time flew quickly as we stamped, laughed, got inky and made some samples to use as a springboard for more cards to come.

I can't wait to see what these ladies come up with!

Thanks girls,

Happy Little Fish

Happy Tuesday!

This card is for Tuesday Throwdown's Weekly Challenge. I have the privilege of being on the Design Team over there, and this week we have some adorable images from My Graffico.

MYGRAFICO is a leading Digital Online store with Hand selected Designers. Our unique designs come with affordable prices. We offer Commercial Use, high quality, Designer clipart, digital stamps, Photoshop brushes, creative paper sets, scrapbooking designs, SVG cutting templates, pre-made party printables, and stationery templates.

I enlarged the fish digi to card-size, 4x4 so it would easily fit into a standard A2 envelope. I colored his stripes with Distress Inks in Barn Red and Spiced Marmalade, using a sponge. He is edged in Walnut Ink DI. I used the Friendship Definition background stamp by Hero Arts to give him texture, and a homemade look. His eye is coated in Crystal Effects.

The sentiment is by CTMH, and so is the twine. I cut a sheet of white card stock the same size as the card front, and attached it at the tail. The sentiment is attached with 3-D dots. I rubbed ink over the sentiment, as it was stamped on white cs.

Enjoy the Journey,

Our Florida Motto

George and I moved to Florida to .......yes, RELAX.  When we got here however, life was not as inexpensive as it was years ago, and we ended up working part time...each of us.

Relax is still our motto.

I have "relax" all over my house. I am working hard to do more relaxing!

I made this card for Digital Delights. I used the Just Grillin' Accessories Set, the Luau Sentiments Set, and the  Fabulous 50's Digital Paper Pack, all by Digital Delights. The checkered background paper from the 50's set was torn and layered over some patterned paper from my stash. I sewed them together with my Singer. They are layered onto some Coordinations Card Stock. The card face was run through my Vagabond with a Tim Holtz folder. I distressed the edges of everything, either with the inner blade of my scissors, or Distress Ink in Walnut Stain.

I cut out the image of the cute trees after stamping on them with a very old CTMH background script stamp, and inking them up with Distress Inks in Broken China and Frayed Burlap.  I then used just a touch of Perfect Pearls on them. They are layered onto the card with 3-D dots.

The bees are from CTMH.

  So is the twine.

My sentiment in stamped with the same background script stamp as the trees. I distressed the edges with the same two colors and used some Diamond Glaze to coat the letters.

I love this card. I enjoyed taking my Digital Delights stamps to a new level!

Check out the stamps at Digital Delights. And get over to the Delightful Challenge Blog to enter the latest challenge...you might win!

Lonely Little Jubbly Dragon

Lonely Jubbly Dragon by Bev Cole
Hello Everyone,

Digital Delights has some new digis for you!
Here are a few, and you can see all of them at Digital Delights!

Jubbly Dragon is new. I used this adorable digital stamp along with the Missing You Sentiment Set and the Into The Wild Digital Paper Pack, also new.

Digital paper is great. You can print out only what you need, and not have a
bunch of scraps left over. When you need more, you just print it out!

Jubbly is colored here with Prismacolor Pencils. I did the background with chalks and a cloud stencil. A bit of Stickles make him shine. I used Distress Inks to sponge the circle, and Black Enamel Accents to make the tiny dots. The Chevron strip is Washi Tape.
I cut  a Coordinations Circle with my Cricut.

A bit of silver thread finishes the card.

He is entered in the following challenges:

Be sure to stop over to the Delightful Challenges Blog and check out the latest challenge. Click on the button on the side of my blog to shop Digital Delights as well! They always have a sale going on.

Tuesday Throwdown Stars And Stripes Challenge

I always tried to make summer fun for my girls when they were little. This digital stamp from Robyn's Fetish was my choice for this inspiration card. Being on the Design Team at
Tuesday Throwdown, we get to choose stamps to use, and this seemed to fit.

Be sure to enter the challenge!  Robyn's Fetish is graciously awarding 5 digital stamps to a random winner, and there will also be a top 3 chosen!

I used Prismacolor Markers, Claudine Hellmuth paper, Star Brads from Michael's, Stickles, and Broken China Distress Ink by Ranger. I cut the star with my Cricut, and the sentiment is from a CTMH stamp set.

Can't wait to see your entries for the Tuesday Throwdown challenge!

Enjoy the Journey,
