Summer Florals Collaboration Challenge with Arty Divas!

"Hidden Art" Journal Page with Gecko Galz

I have been working on my "Hidden Art" Journal for awhile now. As I create art pieces, I take pictures of them and then create a page to hide them on. It's an interactive journal and a labor of love.

I just love this horse image from the Horsing Around Collage Set. Once I started layering it onto an old book page, I realized it would be a perfect hiding place for my pastel of Cheers, my friends horse.

That's when things became a LOT of FUN! The page came together in no time at all. It was built on a tea stained envelope. I just added a pocket I had already made from book pages, and added some pieces from my ephemera stash. I finally added the Gecko Galz horse as a flap to hide my pastel.

Vacation! Challenge #18 with Artsystamper Digitals Challenge Blog

Hi! It's Beverly, aka Artsystamper.

It's time for the customer challenge at the Artsystamper Digitals Challenge Blog! 

The theme is 

Vacation!

The talented design team has created some creative inspiration projects, so be sure to check them out.

Here is what I have created...

 You can find this set in my Etsy Shop. It's called, Sandpiper Set.

This card is created with only 1 digital set. You can simply print out as many as you need. I printed an extra sandpiper and used his wing. A inked around the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Ink. It's attached with dimensionals.

I printed the background sandpipers, which come already colored in my set (same as the sandpiper...colored and uncolored), onto the background which also comes with the sandpiper as an additional image. Then I added the sentiment which also comes with the set. Some of the sandpipers  were flipped, and some erased...in Gimp. 

I layered the image onto a sand colored card stock which was embossed and inked with the walnut stain. But before I added the main image, I inked its edges with Black Soot Distress Oxide. 

The final step was to add some Elmer's Glue with a spatula and sprinkle crushed shells that I bagged up at the beach and brought home.

I was so inspired by the tic tac toe at "Joy of Sets".

Crafts Galore Encore DT with Polkadoodles!

Hi Everyone! Hope you are enjoying all the extra creative time available...and that you are safe and secure...and smiling!

This month our Crafts Galore Encore Challenge is sponsored by Polkadoodles Ltd. They are awarding £6.75 digi stamps voucher (equivalent to 3 single digi stamps) to the random winner!

 We were able to choose from a few images, and I chose this one:

I colored with Prismacolor alcohol markers and pencils, adding dots of color and some grass and shadows to the image.

A piece of lace and an aluminum butterfly colored with alcohol ink and black spray paint was added, then a sentiment from my Hello Beautiful Digital Kit. The polka dot paper is from my stash.

 (It seemed fitting!)

For the Love of Bees with Gecko Galz

Hello! And welcome to another Gecko Galz Design Team creation!

I really enjoy using GG designs. I use them in collages, cards, and other crafts.

For this card, I wanted to create the FEEL of Summer. It's coming...

Here is what I used from Gecko Galz to create this card...

I used two images from page two of the

What's the Buzz Digital Collage Set.

I digitally combined them with a sweet image from

A Little Sketchy, adding a brown background layer to the digital layering.

The lacy background paper is from my own Tea Room Paper Pack.

I finished the card with a piece of ribbon from my stash, along with a "vintage" piece of brown CTMH cardstock. A little bit of Wink of Stella gold and clear give the scene a bit of sparkle.
