Creating Cards to Color

Yesterday I was at my computer, creating a video for those of you who are into or getting into digital stamping. The video shows how I compiled digital stamps, moving them, resizing them, etc.

I used a few of  my digital sets:

Creating coloring pages is this easy, too! I love combining stamps from a variety of my sets. I belong to a coloring group in my community. It's exciting to see people who want to learn to color. I enjoy the company as I add marker and pencil to my yet-to-be-released images.

For these cards I simply shaded the roses with two Prismacolor Premier Pencils. I enjoy using Crimson Red and Indigo Blue layered together to create my shadows. I use a blending marker to blend them. I then added alcohol marker colors over the pencil. I added dots of alcohol marker to the backgrounds to add interest. It beats coloring in the entire background!

I finally inked the edges with some Distress Oxide Inks. The two cards are layered onto papers from the above mentioned digital papers.

Today I am sharing a really gorgeous journal layout created by one of the amazing designers on my Artsystamper Addicts Design Team...Amanda Fogelman.

Amanda is a creative mixed media and digital designer and I am so proud to have her on my design team.

I love how she layered the stamp images on a variety of papers. Very cool.

Now a bit about this stamp set...The digital stamp set is called, Mermaid Wishes. The images, including the backgrounds, come in color as well as black and white.

The mermaid is actually my granddaughter Molly.

Aster Paper Play

Welcome to Artsystamper.com! 

Today I am sharing an utterly card created by one of the amazing designers on my Artsystamper Addicts Design Team...Aly Sheridan.

Aly is a sweetheart. I love having her on  my team.

When I first saw this card, I thought, "She used everything I created to go together!"

It made me very happy.

Now a bit about this stamp set...Aster Garden. I originally colored these with  Prismacolor and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I took pictures of these flowers in Tavares, Florida at a nature preserve.

The papers are from the Astor Paper Pack. The set comes with a bonus purple Astor digi.

Using Magazines in Collage

Magazines seem to be something that eventually get thrown out or (if we are lucky) get passed on. As an avid yard-saler, I find magazines for practically nothing. I love paper, so magazines that are downloads, or paper free don't interest me much.

There's just something about holding that page-filled periodical that feels special...like you are taking a tiny vacation...a little time for yourself.

Then there is the tearing or cutting!

Talk about therapy! I can tear, make a mess, then organize my colorful pages while I keep my husband company in front of the T.V. 

I can use the colors, textures, words and images in collage, mixed media and cards. It's a seemingly endless source of supplies as well as 

INSPIRATION.

I love collage. It's fun, relaxing and fulfilling.
