My first Autumnal Card for 2013...love Fall. I was born on Thanksgiving, so harvest colors, cooler weather and Pumpkin treats are all special to me.
But then, who doesn't love all those things?
Living in Florida, I look forward to winter, too...never thought I would say that!
It's still in the 90's here...I wear flip flops every day. I will be visiting my daughter for Thanksgiving up north, so this card makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
This is Jolene. She is an image from The Stamping Chef, our sponsor at HobbyCutz, where I am privileged to be a new member of the Design Team.
The challenge this week at Hobbycutz is
Anything Goes

Jolene, with her little jeans, seemed perfect for a Fall shot. I colored her with Prismacolor Premier Pencils, and used mineral spirits to blend the colors.
the background is done with a very old CTMH cloud stencil and chalk.
I punched the leaves out with a leaf punch I got at a yard sale for a quarter. I then used the scrap from the leaves to stencil some in the background with chalk.
The papers I used were
The orange check, Claudine Hellmuth
The sunflower print, Graphic 45's French Country
The plaid, digital paper from Digital Delights
The red cardstock, CTMH
I outlined the banners in white to set them apart from all the printed paper.
This method works great!
I used the spotlight technique to give Jolene more of a presence.
The edges of the oval, cut with my good ol' Culuzzle,
are sponged with Distress Ink in Faded Denim.
Challenges I am entering with this card:
LEJ Designs - something Shiny ( glossy accents on eyes)
Be sure to head over to Hobbycutz Challenge Blog and enter. Remember,
anything goes!
Enjoy the Journey,
