A Man's Home is His...

I am a sucker for vintage, and Digital Delights has some amazing images to use for this type of card art.  Check out the variety of adorable characters as well as the accessory sets,
which is where I find many of my images for card making.

Do you like a challenge? Delightful Challenges has a great one this week...Anything but a Card. Take a look at the inspiration pieces for ideas. You could win a $15 store gift card from

Love this little castle from Digital Delights

Castle

I have been trying out some new techniques with stamping on digital images, so when I received this "Crackle" stamp from JoAnns.com, I thought it would really add some texture to this image.
What do you think?

The Distress inks add to the old world feel. I used Prismacolor Markers to do the coloring, then added Distress Ink to the edges, and stamped the crackle with some brown dye ink.

The background is stamped with a very old CTMH wedding words stamp,
and then was chalked with a cloud stencil.

The background paper is from Graphic 45's French Country Collection.

I attached the castle at the bottom with adhesive, then as I moved up the image, I used one layer of dimensionals and then doubled them up at the top to make the image lean out a bit.

The shiny stones are done with Distress Stickles glitter.
I used Glossy Accents on the flags and windows.

I simply cut out the sentiment, also by Digital Delights, and snipped the ends into a banner, wrapping the piece around a pencil, to give it a wavy  look, which I feel goes well with the castle theme.
