Snow Bird Card

It's Tuesday, which means Tuesday Throwdown's latest challenge is ready for you.

The theme is
Snow Birds

Our sponsor is
http://www.mygrafico.com

I printed my bird as large as an A2 envelope would accommodate. I then colored him by making a mask out of computer paper, cutting it up, using temporary adhesive, and sponging him with Distress Inks. I then used a stamp from CTMH to give him a herringbone grey finish.

But

When I left the Card Club meeting Saturday, it was sprinkling, and since he was Distress Inked, the ink took on the pattern of the rain...too cool!
Stickles and Glossy Accents finished his face.

The inside of the card says,

"Fun".
He was.
I hope you take a moment to enter our challenge with a  birdie card. Any bird will do.
Happy Thanksgiving,

A Magical Castle

Hobbycutz is such an amazing brand. Kobie's designs inspire me!

Take this cut out flower window for example. I feel like I am looking out the window of a nearby cottage, across the sea from this amazing castle.

Speaking of castles, I recently visited Disney with my daughter and granddaughter. Everything about Disney is real to 6-year-old Molly.

We ate dinner in the castle. She met all the princesses, had her picture taken with them, and got their autographs in her special little album.

And SHE became a princess herself, which allowed me to be the "Queen Mother" and get sprinkled with Pixie Dust, along with my daughter, the "Queen."

It was a truly magical day.

The breathtaking digital stamp image of the castle is from Digital 2 For Tuesday. I am so thankful that I came across this site quite some time ago. Cora graciously shares these images free of charge.

The paper is from Hobby Lobby. I used a Tim Holtz Die called, Tattered Banners to create the simple sentiment piece, along with a retired stamp from See D's (I don't think they are around anymore).

I inked all the edges with Distress Ink and a bit of Stickles give some glimmer.

The image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils.

I am entering this card in the following challenges
card mania - autumn colors
crafty boots - remembrance
make it Monday - anything goes
Be sure to check out the challenge at Hobbycutz.

Snowball Sarah

I have been super busy prepping for a 25 Christmas Cards for $25 party at my house, but still found time (just got up at 2 AM, that's all) to make a cute card for Digital Delights,
where I am on the Design Team.

This cutie is Snowball Sarah. I colored her with Prismacolor Markers, shading with a few grays.
I colored her cheeks with a bit of pink Prismacolor Pencil.

The paper is by Stampin' Up!.

I embossed the banner over the sentiment, which is from the Christmas Hugs Sentiment Set.

I used some Stampendous Shaved Ice on her hat. Simple black marker was used to make the stitching.

Be sure to check out the Challenge this week...it's
