Spring Dreams with Gecko Galz

Hello! Welcome to my Studio.
I'd like to share a card that I created recently for the Gecko Galz Monthly Customer Challenge.
This card used several images from Gecko Galz. As a Design Team member, I created this as a celebration of Spring.
The beautiful lady is from the Dreams of Spring Digital Collage Set.

I simply sized the image to the size I needed for an A2 card. I added the background paper, from the Toile Jolie Digital Paper Pack, to the page as well, making it 4.25 x 5.5. Digitals can be sized to whatever you need, and are available all the time when you save them to files on your computer. It's like shopping your stash, yet it's all right in front of you! I then added the sentiment from Text-Ture Jewel It  and printed the sheet of cardstock. All digis on one sheet!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to visit the Gecko Galz Shop. Specials are abundant! Visit the blog and sign up for the newsletter! Take part in the Customer Challenges and the Papercrafting Challenges available on Facebook. You could win a bunch of free Gecko Galz products!

Have fun,

Artsystamper Challenge: Lots of Layers

Hi! It's Beverly, aka Artsystamper.

It's time for the customer challenge at the Artsystamper Digitals Challenge Blog

The theme is
Lots of Layers

The talented design team has created some creative inspiration projects, so be sure to check them out.

Here is what I have created...
This card is created with a lot of layers, which were printed out, cut and layered.

At the end of this post, I have added some digital cards made with this set.
They are precolored and totally digital, which makes them super easy cards to create!

I used 3 of my digi sets to create this card.

First, I chose the background from the Wintry Paper Pack.
I sized it to my liking, 3.75 x 5.
Then I brought up my Nesting Sparrows Digital Stamp Set.
I digitally layered the pre-colored perched sparrow and the branch with the nest, onto my background using the PNG's, also being sure to layer them so they looked natural.
I also cut out another image of the flying sparrow, layering it with dimensionals.
I love to cut. It's like therapy for me!
I then added the sentiment, which also comes in the set.

Finally, I layered my card front onto two layers of digital paper from the Blossoms Paper pack

Once you layer these, you can resize them to fit perfectly! I made them 4 x 5 1/4 and 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.
I then added some glitter and a distressed ribbon from my stash. I purchased it at the Offray outlet in PA ions ago!
Here is another card I created using the same techniques and sets:

And here are several digital cards I created with the sets, making them quick and easy.

If you are unsure how to create with digis,
I have a video on my YouTube channel which shows how to make a digital card:

Crafts Galore Encore Design Team - Kitten and Puppies

 Happy March!
Time for a new challenge for February at the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog.

I have the privilege of being on their Design Team.

The theme is always Anything Goes.

Our sponsor for March is Morgan's Art World. As a prize, they are generously offering three digital images including the one I used here.

I was given a digi stamp to work with and I chose this adorable puppy and kitten image. I decided to create a bookmark, since the image is tall and narrow:
I printed the image on white card.  I colored it
with Prismacolor Premier Pencils. I blended the colors using a Prismacolor Colorless Blending marker. I added some glitter to the leaves and a few drops of Nuvo clear drops for added interest. I inked the edges of the image using a craft sponge and distress ink. I used a scrap of printed paper from my stash of digital papers for the mat. It's from my Aster Garden paper pack. I then layered it on to a piece of old CTMH cardstock that I have had FOREVER.

After punching a hole at the top, I used a gummed reinforcement that I stamped and distressed by the page full. Very handy to have around.
The ribbon is from my stash. The zipper edging is also from CTMH long ago.
The ribbon is from a trip I took years ago to the Offray Ribbon Outlet in Pennsylvania. I got soooo much ribbon! I only have a few inches of this one left.

I hope get a chance to hop over to Morgan's Art World
And be sure to enter our challenge to have a chance to win their prize!

That' all for now...enjoy the process!

Gecko Galz Design Team Project - A Lost Art

Hello! Welcome to my Studio.
I'd like to share a collage that I created recently. I enjoy collage so much...playing with paper and found objects, tearing, gluing, inking, painting, layering...

These image is from the Postal Digital Collage Set

This collage used several images from Gecko Galz. As a Design Team member, I created this as a celebration of the lost art of writing. We seem to send greetings much more often via the internet these days, that written cards and letters have become treasures more than ever.

This image is from Text Ture Jewel It.

Digitals can be sized to whatever you need, and are available all the time when you save them to files on your computer. It's like shopping your stash, yet it's all right in front of you!

I tea dyed a faint copy of these butterflies, and I believe they are from the Butterfly Dreaming Collage Set. There are so many beautiful butterfly images and papers that I may be wrong!

I am entering this collage in the following challenges:
