Santa's Hot Chocolate!

If you have seen "The Santa Claus" you know that he always has the perfect cocoa before bed, thanks to his little elves.

I used three of my digital sets to create this card...

I printed everything out in Open Office (a free downloadable app, much like Word), combining the elf and cup, and adding the sentiment to the cup. This was printed on white cardstock. I cut out the imagel I ran a piece of white cardstock, cut to 3 x 4.25 through my Big Kick with a snowflake embossing folder. I then layered it onto a piece of 3.25 x 4.5 black cardstock just to create an eighth of an inch frame. The final layer was a piece of 4.25 x 5.5 piece of green patterned paper from the above set. I embossed it with clear embossing powder before attaching it.
I then cut three snowflakes with an old Tim Holtz Bigz Die. I have only found it on Ebay at this point, but you could use any snowflake die for this.
The snowflakes were coated with Waterscape Glitter. I attached them in a triangle pattern on the card. Then I layered the cup and elf over them. The elf is adorned with Margarita Glitter by Glitters Galore, and The fur on his hat is coated with Snow White Floss by the same company.
I did add a strip of the black patterned paper to give the cup somewhere to stand.

The finishing touch is a plaid ribbon bow from my stash, attached with Fabri-fix.

The images in my sets come in colored and uncolored versions. You can find them in TheArtsystamperShop on Etsy.

Now you see me...

You know that right now it's SUPER busy at the North Pole! Packages are piling up for Santa to deliver. This little Elf got caught leaving one under a snowy tree!

I used two of my digital  sets to create this card...

I printed everything out in Open Office (a free downloadable app, much like Word), onto cardstock. I cut out the package and elf, and trimmed the tree image to 3 3/4 x 5. I then ran it through my Big Kick with a snowflake embossing folder. I inked the edges with Distress Ink, and layered it onto a piece of black patterned paper from the set above.

(I only printed out a 4. x 5.25 piece, so no waste!) I then layered that on to a piece of black gingham paper from my stash.

Since all my images were pre-colored, (by me!) I simply added Crystal Ice Glitter by Glitters Galore to the green on the trees, and dimensional glue to the package and elf's face.

The finishing touch is a plaid ribbon bow from my stash, attached with Fabri-fix.

Sweet Christmas

Hi! Welcome to my Studio!

I have been having so much fun designing Christmas stamp sets and papers!
Our challenge this time around at Artsystamper Digitals is

Patterned Paper

For my inspiration piece, I decided to use the Poinsettia Pair papers along with the candy cane and sentiment from Sweet Santa. Naturally, the colors of the precolored images match perfectly!

I printed out the two papers in black and white backgrounds, along with the candy cane, which I sized large enough to be the main element for the card front. I also printed out a sentiment from Sweet Santa.

Using Tim Holtz' Snowflake Duo Bigz Die, an oldie but goodie, I cut two snowflakes from the white Poinsettia paper. As the background papers are layered, I was able to hide the cuts.

I fussy cut the candy cane, and layered it over the two snowflakes, which are outlined with glitter.
The leaves of the holly are coated with Dimensional Glue from Glitters Galore, the source for all the glitter and embossing powders I used on this card. The glue dries clear. The cane itself is covered with two colors of glitter.

I used and old embossing folder strip to give texture to the sentiment. The edges are also coated in glitter.

I used black embossing powder to heat emboss the brads, which were originally gold. I love that technique!
