My Memory Box

I love being a Mom. I enjoyed everything about raising children. Seasonal celebrations, birthdays, family trips, and the funny things children say and do...they all add up to Memories.

Now that my girls have grown up and are mothers themselves, I want to share my love of holding on to the times, thoughts and words that make life worth living.

Some of my favorite times were baking and cooking with my girls.  But who has a recipe box anymore? I lined this box with recipes from my own recipe collection, the decided the memories were actually more important than the recipes.

That's how this Memory Box came to be.

I used an old tin box I got at a garage sale in a bag of junk for $1.

I used Graphic 45's French Country for virtually the entire project.
The knob is Tim Holtz'.

I created dividers, leaving some blank to be added later.

The dividers were fun to decorate. I made the tabs on my Cricut machine, and stamped them.

I used Mod Podge to glue and seal all the layers. The knob is attached with Crystal Effects. It's super strong! (Bought Tim Holtz knobs and they sat around for over a year! Glad I found a perfect use for one of them...now just have to use the rest of them.)
