Graveyard Spirits

This card turned out totally different than I planned...guess sometimes plans go awry, in a good way!

I made this card for the Hobbycutz Challenge. We have a wonderful sponsor who provided the Design Team with beautiful digital papers...

The challenge is:

I used the BMD papers for the background and the skulls. You can actually get some awesome freebies at BMD...so check it out, by all means!

I cut the skulls and headstone on my Cricut using a CTMH cartridge.  I always ink the edges of cut images from the back with a sponge, so no white cut edges show. While doing this, I discovered the skulls left some cool "ghostly" images on my desk pad. "Hey!" I thought, "This would look cool on my card!".

Thus the spirits of the couple,
whose skulls didn't make it into their grave...so sad.

I used Hobbycutz' wooden fence, embossing it with silver powder, burning it in spots. To make the ghostly "smoke", I used the small fancy flourish, inking it with Black Soot Distress Ink and shining it up with Stickles.
I also used a stamp by Kaisercraft to give the headstone some texture.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Enjoy the Halloween Challenge and Hobbycutz..you might win! I do comment on some of the entries, and would absolutely love to see my follower's cards. Let me know if you enter so I can check out you work...leave me a comment at the end of this blog post.

Enjoy the Journey,
