Hoop Kids

I am off today, so I thought I would make another card with my newly organized paper!

I thought I would show you a card made from a challenge sketch. You can find the challenge here.

Here is the sketch I used...

Usually, when you enter a challenge with a sketch provided, you are allowed to make subtle changes to the layout, as long as it still looks basically like the sketch. If you are not entering the challenge, then who cares? Use the sketch to inspire you, or copy it exactly...it's up to you.

This is a free image from Digital 2 for Tuesday. I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and Mineral Spirits, then used my new Inktense Pencils to brighten it up! I love these pencils, and will be doing more with them.

I found the plaid paper that I printed last Christmas from Digital Delights. The sentiment is from Crafty Secrets. I zigzagged on my Singer with heavy duty thread,  and then I used a stamp from CTMH with chalk ink to dress up the edge.

A crocheted flower from my stash of embellishments (another area that needs organizing!) finishes the card. Oh! I also used Distress Stickles in Vintage Photo and smudged 'em around. The edge of the card is distressed and inked with Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap. The eyelets are from SU.

I am so glad to use up some scraps and to finish some cards with the art I have sitting around.

I might as well enter this into some challenges...
Papertake Weekly - Sketchy Free-for-All
Addicted to Stamps and More - Make Your Mark
Sweet Stamps - Flowers
Through the Craftroom Door - Anything Goes

Now I need to play with my Inktense Pencils some more!

Happy Creating,
Bev
